Divisions:
- Open Division - includes Amateurs and Professionals
- Senior Division - older than 45 years
- Ladies Division - includes Amateurs and Professionals
- Club Pro Division - for PGA Club Professionals only
Order of Merit:
An Order of Merit system has been implemented for the Open Division for the 2008 Series, enabling competitors to earn points from each event.
The final Order of Merit winner will be given the opportunity to participate in the World Championship Finals in Nevada, USA!
If there is a tie, the organisers will review the distances shot by each competitor from each event,
total the distances and divide by the number of events participated in, the winning 'average' distance will be declared the winner.
Should the Order of Merit winner and the SA Champion be the same person,
the runner-up in the South African National Final will take up the 2nd spot in the USA.
Points will be allocated as follows:
- 1st place on the day - 10 points
- 2nd place on the day - 8 points
- 3rd place on the day - 6 points
- 4th place on the day - 4 points
- 5th place on the day - 2 points
2 Spots have been secured in the World Championship Finals in Nevada, USA in October 2008!
- 1 spot for the Open Division South African Champion
- 1 spot for the Order of Merit winner
Prizes & National Finalists:
Open Division & Senior Division:
- Daily prizes will be on offer for 1st to 3rd at each event
- The 1st placed competitors in these divisions from each event will participate in the South African National Final in September 2008.
Ladies Division:
- Prizes will be on offer for 1st to 3rd at each event
- There will not be a Ladies Division National Final for the 2008 series. (only 46 ladies entered the events during 2007 resulting in the organiser's amending the prize)
Club Pro Division:
- 1st prize at each event will be sponsored by COBRA
